SEA ‘N AIR WOMEN’S GOLF CLUB 
       BY LAWS              
(Revised November 2, 2017)  
ARTICLE I NAME    
    The name of this organization shall be “Sea ‘N Air Women’s Golf Club.        
     This Club is an independent, non-profit organization with its own membership.. 
ARTICLE II PURPOSE    
    The purpose of this organization shall be to promote play in accordance with the Rules of Golf adopted by the USGA, 
and promote social and special activities for the general enjoyment of the Club membership.                                                            

ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP

 A.    Eligibility

    1.    Any woman, eighteen (18) Yeats or older, on active duty, retired, or dependent or having an affiliation with a government agency.  This woman must hold a lid ID that provides base access.
    2.     Any member who loses valid ID privileges must submit a resignation in writing within three months. 
    3.     The Membership Chairwoman will orient new members. A new member with a valid handicap may participate in sweeps. A new member with no handicap must turn in five (5) attested cards from USGA-rated course(s) to the Handicap Chairwoman to obtain a handicap, making her eligible to participate in sweeps. 
 
B.    Obligation
    1.     Members will serve as hostesses during the year.  
    2.     Acceptance of membership in this Club shall oblige each member to abide by all the conditions of these bylaws and the rules of the Club, and accept the decisions of the Executive Board made within its jurisdiction. This jurisdiction will include the right to suspend or expel any member who, in the opinion of the majority of the Executive Board, violates the Rules of Golf; displays unsportsmanlike conduct or behaves in an unladylike manner.  
    3.     No member shall be suspended or expelled without formal charges having been made in writing and an opportunity given to such member to be heard. The Executive Board shall have complete jurisdiction over reinstatement of any such member.
 
 
 
 
 
 
                  
 
                ARTICLE IV – DUES AND ASSESSMENTS
 
A. Annual Dues for active membership shall be seventy dollars ($70.00) and shall include annual dues of thirty four dollars ($34.00), and handicap fee of twenty dollars ($20.00). Dues for new members joining before July 1st shall be seventy dollars ($70.00) and shall include, in addition to fees stated above, a new member initiation fee of thirty six dollars ($36.00). Dues for new members joining after June 30th shall be seventy dollars ($78.00) and shall include reduced dues of seventeen dollars($17.00), handicap fee of twenty dollars ($20.00), and a new member initiation fee of twenty-five ($25.00).
1. All dues are due and payable beginning October 1st of each calendar year and any member shall be delinquent after November 1st. A list of unpaid members will be posted on or before December 5th and delinquent members will be assessed ten dollars ($10.00) and will be denied all club privileges after January 1st until the dues and assessments are paid.
B . Annual Dues for inactive membership shall be five dollars ($5.00) per year.
1. Members who have let their membership lapse for less than a year may activate their membership by paying the annual dues ($34.00) (or partial dues ($17.00) after June 30th), the handicap fee ($36.00) and the delinquent fee ($10.00).
2. Members who have let their membership lapse for more than a year may activate their membership by paying the annual dues ($34.00) (or partial dues ($17.00) after June 30th) and the handicap fee ($36.00).
                    ARTICLE V – MEETINGS
General meetings scheduled quarterly, or at the discretion of the Executive Board.
                       ARTICLE VI – GOVERNMENT
 
A. The Executive Board shall be the governing body of this Club and shall consist of:
 
    1. Four elected officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
